Barbara Pauline Miller was born on Sep 5, 1911 in South of Hays, Kansas. She married Isadore Brull on Jun 2, 1932 in St. Joseph Church, Hays, Kansas. She died on May 1, 1995.

Pauline was born and raised on her parents farm South of Hays. She attended St. Joseph Catholic School in Hays but soon she had to stay at home from school to help care for her siblings since her mother died when she was just 13 years old. At 18 years old, she moved into town (Hays) and worked as a cook in the Brunswick Hotel. When she married Isadore, they moved to the Brull farm east of Munjor and lived there for 48 years. She was an excellent seamstress and made all the childrens clothes - and even made two of their daughters wedding gowns and veils.
She had to quit school in the 7th grade to help her sister Liddy care for the family. Died on Morgan Wagner's birthday.

Isadore Brull was born on Mar 21, 1903 in East of Munjor, Kansas. He married Barbara Pauline Miller on Jun 2, 1932 in St. Joseph Church, Hays, Kansas. He died on Jan 11, 1996.

Attended public school in a one room school by the Phillip Ranch and also St. Francis Chaholic School in Munjor. Spent his early years helping his dad farm. In 1929 he and his parents moved to Hays, he continued to farm, mainly wheat and cattle. The life was not easy. There was no electricity and the water well was 200 yards from the house. Water was carried by had for drinking, bathing, the laundry, cooking and butchering. Isadore and Pauline milked cows, raised chickens, turkeys, ducks and hogs.

The chickens, turkeys and hogs were butchered and sold to provide income. Cream and eggs were sold weekly. Ducks provided feathers for quilts and pillows. Field crops planted were wheat and sorgum. They survived the Dirty '30's and the grasshopers. In the middle '40's things were better and they were able to buy a wind-charger. At that point they were able to have electric lights. In the late 40's, power lines were set and electricy was provided for the entire farm. Then came running water to the house. A room under the house was dug by hand and the water well was drilled and installed there. Soon after, the built an indoor bathroom! The two of them did all the work themselves with the help of the older children. With water and electricty - life got a bit easier. Isadore did all his own machinery repair and mechanic work. He took pride in keeping his machinery and buildidngs in good repair.

Later in life, the farming was expanded and the two of them continued to farm with the help of their sons. It was not until 1979 that they bought a home in an area called Paririe Acres (1344 Grand Street, Hays, KS 67601) which they moved into in 1982. Their son Allen continued to work the farm they left behind.

At the age of 87, Isadore had tripple by-pass heart surgery in Wichita and recovered nicely. Although they moved to town (Prairie Acres), they did miss the farm - however, life was easier and healthier for them both. Died on Morgan Wagner's birthday.

Gabriel Brull was born on Apr 15, 1860 in Obermonjou, Russia. He married Anna Maria (Mary) Rupp. He died on Sep 21, 1958.

Gabriela and Anna Marie came from Obermonjou Russia before coming to Hays as they were in Brazil, South America for about 2 years. The land in that region wasw not suitable for wheat farming so they left. After arriving in the US, they came by train to Topeka, Kansas and then later to Hays.

They settled on the farm East of Munjor, Kansas where they raised their 13 children. After Annie was born, the moved to town. Anna Marie was 15 yrs and Gabrial was 18 yrs old when they married. Some notes say she was born 4/10/1866.

Anna Maria (Mary) Rupp was born on Aug 17, 1865 in Obermonjou, Russia. She married Gabriel Brull. She died on Mar 5, 1953.
